I don't have an issue with an honest discussion before or after the film or
maybe as a seperate featurette, where film experts and historians discuss the film, the context of the time it was made, the historical accuracy of what was depicted and the problems with what was depicted. Hell, I'd find it interesting to be honest. I'd love to see the same thing done with Song of the South if Disney would ever allow it to be released. I saw it in 86 as a kid with my aunt and uncle during a theatrical re-release. As a kid, I kind of ignored the live action parts and was most entertained by the animated sequences. If all HBO is going to do is record a 30 second intro saying "This film was made in a time when blah blah blah, I'm not interested."
